Patient anxiety

dental phobia

Fear of the dentist often starts at a really young age and is deeply rooted. Many people are so scared that they stop visiting the dentist altogether. It is important to realise that the ghost stories from your childhood are a thing of the past. These days all treatments can be performed in a completely painless manner. If you are very anxious, it is good to let us know.

We will take extra time to make you feel at ease and provide you with clear explanations. It might help if you bring your own music. We can also settle on a signal, such as raising your hand, to pause the treatment for a moment. In this manner you maintain the feeling of being in control and still end up with properly cared for teeth despite your anxiety, so that you can talk, laugh and eat without a care.
